My Twitter streams (yes streams, I have more than one account… deal) have been overrun with tweets about… Twitter. How fucking ironic. 
These tweets are missives about:
- Lost follower and following counts. You’re special, people “really like you.” I get it. And don’t care.
- Can’t DM. Ever heard of this thing called e-mail? Fabulous.
- Fail Whales. Or other such creatures.
- Lost business and productivity. Ah, as the dollar turns. Like if you were really being productive, you’re ass wouldn’t be on Twitter griping about not being productive.
Boo fucking hoo. You get what you paid for and with Twitter, it’s shit. AKA FREE!
Some of the people who are bitching and moaning are those who make their money with Twitter. The marketing and sales, PR and social media types who get paid to tell others how to tweet. Along with well, anyone else who uses Twitter as their personal chat room or broadcast channel, which is almost everyone including me.
Whatever. Half that shit, you shouldn’t be tweeting anyway. I heart irony as much as the next person, hence this post.. but people please. Get over yourselves.
